A break from studying

As we get closer to the end of the school semester, Line and I (mainly Line) have been hard at work at our desks revising and writing. So when we heard that the store from which we got all our wedding crockery was celebrating their 270th anniversary with 50& of everything in the shop, what better way to blow off some steam than by spending a stack of cash!

Well, another even better way to relax was to get Isabelle to create some custom artwork for her new bedroom! She ended up very good at using the paint roller; both her feet had a nice, even coverage...

Hello from Isabelle!

just ran across some videos we made a little while ago.

Happy Norway Day!!

Just thought I'd post some photos from May 17th, enjoy! School is picking up and we have very little time to spend updating the blog sorry.. I promise I'll write some more thorough updates over summer!

Heading off to watch the first parade...

Three girls looking great in their bunads (Isabelle, Nora (my cousin) and farmor Ruth (Isabelle call her great grandma 'mor', by the way)...

Equipped and ready to make some noise!

My grandparents Ruth and Erik.

Hurra for Norge!

17.mai sure is tiring for big and small, although nothing a little nap can't fix:

Running. I believe it is Isabelle's favourite activity.

Isabelle meets Leo, grandson of a friend of my dad's. Not too interested to start with...

But the indifference passes quickly!

Ice cream is an integral part of any May 17th celebration...

Hanging out with mum's cousin Simen!

Our house

Just thought it was about time I posted the photos of our beautiful new home! We move in on the 15th of July, and there is plenty of room for guests. We are all so excited about it, and absolutely cannot wait to finally get our hands on those keys. We (well, I - but James is pretty dreamy as well!) are constantly day-dreaming about how we are going to furnish the house, and I have visited the IKEA home page more than once over the last couple of weeks. Also, in these financial times a lot of stores and producers are going bankrupt, and so James and I are constantly checking out the closing-down sales for one or two bargains for our house; not a bad way to grab all the little bits and pieces we still need. Another very exciting prospect is that once we move in we can actually unpack all the wedding presents - we have barely looked at most of them so far and it will be really nice to actually be able to use everything.

Spring in Paris

Here are some photos from our wonderful trip to Paris! Beyond spending lots of time with Pa Gaz, we were also lucky enough to catch up with Kate Napier, who decided to start off her big travelling adventure with a little French rendez-vous. We had such a great time - I'll let the photos speak for themselves!
